Last year's keynote speaker is Jaideep Prabhu. Jaideep is Professor of Marketing and Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He teaches business and enterprise at the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School and directs the Centre for India & Global Business (CIGB).

He has published in leading academic journals and his work has been profiled by the BBC, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The Economist, The Financial Times, Le Monde, The New York Times, and The Times.

He is the co-author of Jugaad Innovation: Think Frugal, Be Flexible, Generate Breakthrough Growth, described by The Economist as “the most comprehensive book yet” on the subject of frugal innovation, and Frugal Innovation, which won the CMI’s Management Book of the Year Award 2016.

For over a century, the most pressing question in political thought has been about the size and capacity of the state. Now, with a world transformed by Covid-19 and a revolution unfolding in the technologies of organisation, a great upheaval is coming in the essential business of government.

Jaideep discussed his much-acclaimed new book, How should a government be? You’ll hear about government initiatives across the globe and explore new levers of state power, as we discuss what the future of government might look like, and how governments can better deliver for their citizens.
